Mental Health Awareness Week

We're also raising awareness of this year’s theme, anxiety, and the things that can help. We’ll be rounding off a fantastic week of activities and support with a team walk because it’s long been known that being outdoors is good for our physical, emotional and mental well-being. We also know that time spent in nature and paying attention to what’s going on around us reduces stress and can help relieve feelings of anxiety. Even a short burst of 10 minutes' brisk walking increases our mental alertness, energy and positive mood. So this will be a good way for our teams to connect, reach out (kindness and appreciation also releases feel-good hormones which lift our mood) and open up conversations. So we will be wearing something green to support Mental Health Awareness week and "twalking" on Monday 22nd May between 10.30-11.30.
