COVID - 19

We're monitoring the situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus) on a daily basis and are taking our advice from the NHS, government and Public Health England.

If you have a confirmed case of coronavirus or are self-isolating you must tell us when you book a repair or if someone from Co-op Homes or one of our contractors is due to visit you. If this relates to you, please ring us as soon as possible on 0203 166 2608.

 Our services

At present, all of our services will continue as normal  (apart from our repairs service which is subject to some disruption which may mean only emergency issues will be attended) and our people are working as normal.

 NHS advice

The official NHS advice is to take the following cold and flu precautions to help prevent people from catching and spreading COVID-19:

  • use a tissue or your sleeve for coughs or sneezes
  • put used tissues in the bin straight away
  • wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds, using soap and hot water. If soap and water aren’t available, use hand sanitiser gel
  • try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
  • clean and disinfect frequently-touched objects and surfaces, using the antibacterial wipes around the office
  • don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands aren’t clean.

 Staying safe and well

The symptoms of coronavirus are:

  • a cough
  • a high temperature
  • shortness of breath

If you have a new persistent cough or high temperature you are now advised to self-isolate for seven (calendar) days. If you’re worried that you may have Coronavirus symptoms, go online to 111.nhs.uk or call 111. Do not go to your GP, pharmacy or hospital.
