A London that meets our needs
A Zoom conference for council, housing association, tenant-managed and cooperative tenants and residents
Saturday 26th November – 10.30 a.m. – 3.30 p.m.
Looking (in the AM session) at development & growth in London over the last ten years and (in the PM session) at the changes we want or need over the next ten years
AM speakers and workshops will focus on - the Olympic Legacy and other large-scale development (opportunity) areas, the number and types of homes and jobs delivered, increased density, demographic changes in inner, outer and central London, infrastructure and public space. We will gather grassroots evidence, from attendees, about the impact of policy over the last 10 years on social housing tenants.
PM speakers and workshops will focus on - social housing as an essential element of social and economic policy for public good, an introduction to London Tenants Manifesto – A Positive Future for Social Housing in London, alternative tenant-led policy on central, inner and outer parts of London, climate change, infill development, infrastructure, employment, public space and the river Thames. Where there is a consensus, workshop proposals will be used to produce a supplementary document to complement the London Tenants Manifesto.
A detailed agenda and workshop briefs will be emailed out a week before the conference.
Booking is essential.
