Abi has worked for Birmingham City Council, Birmingham City University and Central Consultancy Services. She started her career as a chartered quantity surveyor and moved into governance, becoming a governance specialist in the social housing sector. After working with coops and other small social housing providers as a consultant she joined Coop Homes in January 2023. She also currently Chairs Black Country Housing Group.

At Co-op Homes, Abi is Head of Governance, Co-op Administration and is also Company Secretary.
